OBITUARY: Peggy Cole

Peggy Cole

Peggy Cole

Peggy LaRue Faull Cole, age 88, passed away peacefully at her home in Logandale, Nevada on June 3, 2018 with her family nearby.

Peggy was born in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma on September 16, 1929, to Estelle Winfred Autry and Russell Henry Faull, and was the youngest of five children. Always active in her youth, she enjoyed music (trumpet, piano, singing, acting as drum majorette at the local high school) and even playing “Powder-Puff Girls Football”.

Peggy married Arnold Lee Cole on November 6, 1948. They enjoyed raising their three children, as well as fishing, boating, traveling and family business activities. Moving to Henderson, NV in 1963, Peggy and Arnold owned and managed “Cole’s Auto & Camper Sales” at 1100 N Boulder Highway for many years. Arnold passed away, November 2, 2005.

Peggy was never far from a bag of yarn, donating countless hours in teaching skills to others, yarn and smiles to spare, in the creation of hundreds of knitted caps, shawls and afghan’s.

Wanting to stretch her business skills and expertise in the community of southern Nevada, Peggy received her real estate and brokers licenses, opening a successful business under the banner of “Henderson Valley Realty.”

In 2007, Peggy moved to Logandale, Nevada to be nearby family and begin a new chapter of her life. Prior to arriving in Logandale Peggy converted to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Family History became a new passion for her. She enjoyed assignments in the Las Vegas Nevada Temple as an Ordinance Worker. For over four years she willingly drove a car-load of friends to the Temple with custom license plates carrying the message: “TMPLGOR”.

Survivors include children: Rodney (Dottie) of Peoria, AZ and Suzy (Kevin) Bennett of Logandale, NV; Eight grandchildren: Mike Cole, Jessica Dethmers, Candace Cole, Shelley Van Zyverden, Ryan Cole, Russell Cole, Shelby Brandon, Cole Bennett, and fifteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Arnold, son Gregory and his wife Karen.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Logandale LDS Stake Center, 2555 N. St. Joseph St., Logandale, NV, 89021. Public viewing will be held 1 hour prior to the service from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m.
Ever giving, always smiling, Peggy will be missed by her family, friends and the Moapa Valley community.

Family and friends may leave a message or memory in an online guestbook at moapavalleymortuary.com.
