Moapa Valley Progress
Fuel prices have dropped significantly since the four-year highs experienced during the Thanksgiving holidays. That alone brings a significant relief to travelling families. But Eagle’s Landing Travel Center in Mesquite is adding an additional kicker to that relief.
The huge fueling station/convenience store located at Mesquite’s new Exit 118 is offering an exclusive discount on fuel to Progress readers. For a limited time, when readers clip the ad from the Progress (found in this week’s edition on page A3) and submit it to the clerks at Eagle’s Landing, they can get an additional 10 cents per gallon discounted from their fuel purchases.
The ad, which is planned to run through the month of January, is actually aimed at the hundreds of families that travel down from the colder areas of northern Utah and Nevada to enter their children in youth sports tournaments and camps going on at the beginning of the year.
“We have heard that a lot of people come down from the north to attend soccer or baseball tournaments held in Mesquite and Moapa Valley,” said Eagle’s Landing general manager Kenny Huff. “This is our first year in business at this location, so we looked forward to welcoming them to the area. We wanted to maybe give them a little something special.”
But sports team membership is not needed. The discount offer is just as valid for anyone who clips the ad out of the Progress and presents it at Eagle’s Landing, Huff said.
“Of course, we know that the folks from Moapa Valley are often travelling back and forth right by here,” Huff said. “So they are certainly welcome to take advantage of the offer as well.”
Eagle’s Landing opened in early October of last year. It’s main building spans a total of 18,000 square feet. Inside is a spacious Flying J convenience store area offering Pepperoni’s Pizza, Chester’s Chicken to go, a Mr. Taco location, a full deli sandwich counter, and a connected Wendy’s Restaurant.
