Stolen 4-wheelers | ||
To the Editor: Recently, there have been a noticeable amount of Quad/Motorcycle thefts in the valley. Since when did stealing become an acceptable behavior? My family too has been victimized. Our interceptor quad and mini chopper motorcycle was stolen were the property of an 11 year old boy, and my son would share with his five year-old twin sisters. They worked hard to have those things with good behavior. All I can say to whoever did this is SHAME ON YOU! We do not have the money to replace the things stolen from our yard. For those community members who would like to keep an eye out for these items they are a Red/Black plastic Interceptor 150 Four wheeler, the front head light is broken, and the plastic is cracked; and a Black/Silver Mini Chopper style Motorcycle. Please call Metro if you have seen or know who stole these items. They have been missing for approximately two weeks and were stolen in the vicinity of the high school. I think that if we as parents pay close attention to what our children come home with, and ask questions, we would be able to solve quite a few stolen property crimes. To the thieves, Beware! We have a lot of friends that will recognize these things you took and when you are caught we plan to press charges on you for theft. You are nothing but no good thugs! Thank you for your time. To the Editor: Putting the Moapa Valley Progress on-line is real PROGRESS.Those of us who used to live in the Valley are now able to keep up with the news and events taking place in Moapa Valley. Thank you for making the Progress available to those of us who live too far to read the paper every week. Thank you for printing Doctor Moses’ thoughts each week. He always puts a humorous spin to some serious subjects. Jim & De Scanlon Back |
Apology | ||
To the Editor: This letter is written to apologize to Station 74, the Moapa Valley Fire District, our families and the people of our community. We chose to use a gas card that belonged to Clark County Fire Department for our own personal use. We truly realize that we made a mistake and it will not happen again. We are deply sorry to all of the other volunteers in our community for breaching a bond that we had built up with them. We are also sorry for abusing the taxpayers’ hard earned money. We are sorry for betraying the trust that everyone has put in us as volunteer fire fighters and EMTs Tawnia & Edward Steffen |
