The Moapa Valley Rotary Club organized a clean-up effort of the State Highway into town on Saturday morning, March 29. The local Rotary Club is part of the Adopt-A-Highway program for the stretch of Highway 169 from I-15 to Wells Rd in Logandale. Each year the Rotarians organize the clean-up to prepare for the fair.
About thirty community volunteers arrived at 9:00 a.m. to be given their assignments. The group, which consisted of Rotarians, high school students, boy scouts and other volunteers, were divided into small teams and given a section of the roadway to clean up. In addition they were issued heavy duty trash bags and orange safety vests to assist in the job.
The volunteers made quick work of the project and had it completed by noon.
