Other Love’s locations in the region include centers in Cedar City, UT; Kingman, AZ; Lake Havasu City, AZ; and Barstow, CA.
The Apex center has enjoyed very strong opening weeks, according to store officials. “Our sales have really started off with a bang,” said Love’s Regional Manager Duncan Stoops. “Better than we expected actually. In talking to the owners of the company, they thought that if it isn’t the busiest opening they’ve seen in inside sales, it’s pretty close.” The 7,000 sq. ft Love’s convenience store carries a lit bit of everything including consumer electronics, clothing, souvenirs, groceries, travel supplies and, of course, snack foods and beverages. “We call it the Walmart of the highway,” said Stoops. A large section at the back of the store caters to truck drivers. The center is located on nearly 12 acres with ample paved parking for the big rigs. The center offers shower facilities and truck weigh-in services to the truckers. And it soon will offer a full tire shop for trucks. The center employs nearly 30 people. At least six of those employees were hired from the Moapa Valley area. The store’s General Manager, Rob Foulke, resides in the Warm Springs area. “We look forward to serving the community,” said Foulke. At its ribbon cutting ceremony in March, Love’s contributed $2000 to the Children’s Heart Foundation of Las Vegas. “The company does a lot to give back to the communities it serves,” Foulke said. “We will be on the lookout for programs like that where we can make a difference.” TELL US WHAT YOU THINK!
