Entrance Fee Stations at Lake Mead and Crusaders perform
The first three entrance stations at Lake Mead National Recreation Area opened near the park boundaries at Lake Mead Blvd., Lake Mead Drive, and Lakeshore Road. The new entrance stations are part of the fee demonstration program authorized by U.S. Congress in 1996. In addition to authorizing fees in parks that had no fee collection, it also allows 80% of the fees collected to remain in the park to help address the park’s facility and infrastructure needs.
The Crusaders Singers performed at Lake Mead Baptist Church. The group has been singing while traveling the world since 1981. They have performed in Japan, Canada, Europe, Guam, Korea, and the United States.
