On Saturday, November 20, The Overton Senior Center sponsored their Fall Swap Meet and Breakfast to the community at large.
Beginning the busy day with a healthy breakfast was the goal of Chef Raegan Whited and her assistant Nicki Bill. This meal was served by the MVHS National Honor Society members Haley Causey, Eva Chidester, Stephanie Lyon, Danielle Swanson and Cole Witter with Advisor Donna Swanson overseeing their efforts.
Hoping to get a cooking insight, I asked Chef Whited what, if any, magic ingredient she added to her meals. Her short, to the point, answer was “Love!”
The early morning participant then had the opportunity to snag the freshest home made delicacies and latest crafts and to attend the swap meet to look for just the right gift for the Holiday Season. In addition, the raffle offered a wide variety of items from cameras to dishes to hair-dos or gift cards for the attendee with that adventurous spirit.
This was the perfect way to start a very busy weekend in the Moapa Valley.
