The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 75 is hosting its Tenth Annual Crop Till You Drop Scrap-a-Thon on October 7-8 at the Old Overton Gym. The cost of the event is $60, and includes dinner, snacks, and beverages on Friday and breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, and beverages on Saturday.
All proceeds will be used to benefit veterans in the Moapa Valley, as well as the American Legion Scholarship Fund.
The crop is held twice a year, and includes such activities as door prizes, a raffle, Make-n-Takes, and more. This year there will be many vendors including Sandra Benson, scrapbook artist, from 3 Peas in a Pod. Participants have been asked to bring Halloween photos for a special project.
“Each year the crop just gets better and better,” said event organizer Susie Fly. “Not only are you guaranteed to have fun scrapping with us, you are helping out the community.”
This year chair massages and pedicures will be offered. Participants can also bring sleeping bags and spend the night.
