Representatives from the Las Vegas-based Vegas Valley 4-Wheelers (VV4W) club made a series of donations to Moapa Valley organizations at a presentation before the Moapa Valley Town Advisory Board on Wednesday, March 29.

The VV4W is the organization which coordinates and holds the huge Hump N Bump rock crawling event in the Logandale Trails area each November. The event is staged out of the Clark County Fairgrounds. Last year was the 35th year for the Hump N Bump, and the event drew a record-breaking 230 off-road vehicles to the area.

VV4W President Mike Gieger explained that the club, and its membership, loves to hold its event at Logandale Trails and to be hosted by the Moapa Valley communities. He stated that last year’s event had been a huge success.
“We truly appreciate the welcome we receive each year from this community and we like to support the various businesses and organizations here,” Gieger said. “Each year we like to give back a part of the proceeds from our event to this community and its organizations.”

Firstly, Gieger recognized the agencies and groups that gave direct support and assistance to the VV4W during the event. A donation check of $2,000 was presented to the Logandale Fire Department #73. A donation of $500 was made to the Metropolitan Police Overton Resident Section. And a $7,000 check was presented to the local Partners In Conservation (PIC) who helps VV4W in coordinating with the BLM and in permitting the event.

Finally, a donation check of $1,000 was presented to the Cappalappa Family Resource Center to help in bringing its important services to the community.
