Jorja Freeman
Jorja Freeman, daughter of Justin and JoDee Freeman, has earned her Bronze award as a Junior Girl Scout.
She completed her project in the spring of 2016 and recently attended the Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada Award Ceremony where she was recognized for her “Arbor Day Education & Tree planting” project and received her Bronze pin and certificate.
The Bronze award is the highest award that a Junior Girl Scout can attain, requiring a 20 hour project that helps the community.
Her project consisted of making an Arbor Day Education packet for each of the students at Perkins Elementary and planting nine trees at the school in Moapa along Henrie Rd.
During the project Jorja was a part of Troop 254 and has since bridged up to the level of Cadette. She will continue to be active in Girl Scouts as an independent Girl Scout, also known as a Juliette. She is currently a sixth grader at Mack Lyon Middle School.
The family would like to thank all of the local businesses and individuals who helped her with this project. Jorja couldn’t have done it without you.
