Last week 102 “Lady Pirates” boarded two charter buses and headed to Disneyland for a day of fun.
The idea was spawned from a 5th grade Sea Camp meeting where some of the moms thought “Why can’t we do this ourselves?” It turned into an exciting adventure.
The buses left the Fairgrounds at 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning and headed to Disneyland. The ladies spent the day at Disneyland and California Adventures and returned the following morning at 3:15 a.m.
The 27 hour trip was a much needed break for the women who are busy taking care of kids, families and jobs. They got to just have some time away and relax and bond with each other.
The committee is looking forward to planning the 2nd annual trip and helping the women in the Valley celebrate each other!
