The Sacred Space Wellness Center at 263 S. Moapa Valley Blvd., has welcomed a new Massage Therapist – Genie Lawrimore. Sacred Space owner Kelly Bledsoe said that she is excited about this opportunity to enlarge the Center’s service to the community.
Lawrimore graduated from Moapa Valley High School and then moved to attend college.
She said that she was always drawn to the study of holistic medicine. When she was a teenager, she had her nose broken by a watermelon while defending her younger brother in a Watermelon War. That tipped off her interest in the healing arts. She was introduced to reflexology; Chinese massage; to the point therapy and hot stone massage work.
She attended the Nevada School of Massage Therapy where she graduated in 2007 with an RYT200 certification.
Genie has been working for 10 years now as a Massage Therapist in addition to working at Permanent Learning Solutions as a Pre-school teacher. She will continue to teach two days a week and spend the rest of her time as a Massage Therapist and in Point Body Work.
Appointments can be made by calling 702-767-6754 or 702-501-7838.
At this Fitness Center, one can also enroll in Yoga classes. In the near future, Bledsoe is hoping to add other alternative Holisitic practioners to the staff to make the Sacred Space Wellness Center a total experience.
