Logandale Storage and U-Haul boasts 210 units between its two locations. Logandale resident David Robison has just celebrated his 5 year anniversary as manager of the business which is owned by long-time local businessman Jack Jensen.

Located in two locations: 3525 N. Moapa Valley Blvd and 1595 Jensen, both in Logandale; the storage facility has shown a growth in occupancy of 30-40 percent in recent years. Robison and his family live on the site of the Jensen facility.

Robison attributes the growth and retention rate to customer service. “It’s all about customer service, accommodation, manager availability and hard work,” he said. “Sometimes the phone will ring after hours, at times it may be during a movie, but we always try to help whoever needs services.”
After-hours services are arranged by appointment only. However, both gated facilities are available for customers to access 24 hours a day.

Another unique feature of Logandale Storage is their U-Haul rental services. U-Haul trucks, trailers, car dollies, pads, and blankets are available on site right here in Logandale. U-Haul drop off services are a big convenience for those moving to Moapa Valley.
“The nice thing about U-Haul is it is one way pick up and drop off,” Robison said. “You can rent your trailer/truck in one state and leave it at another.”

Just this month the facility has been used by several parents assisting their college-bound students in getting their stuff from mom and dad’s to their next home at college. In this case, the trucks or trailers are usually rented for the day. The ease of having such a wonderful resource such as U-Haul locally also helps those just moving from one location to another within Moapa Valley.

The storage facilities have seen some nature-related setbacks over the years. In 2014 when Moapa Valley experienced a severe flood, some of the units on Jensen also saw some serious flooding.
“We thought we were ok up there on the hill and we would have been had it not been for the dike breaking,” said Robison.

Also, in recent weeks the units down on Moapa Valley Blvd have experienced some roof damage due to the wind. While no customers have reported issues to their units from the roof damage, Robison does instruct people when signing their contract that additional insurance, including flood insurance, is a good idea.

That’s because the storage facility is covered for damage to the structure only, personal items within the units are not covered unless the renters purchase their own policy for their property.
“The stars aligned for us 5 years ago when we answered an ad in the newspaper,” said Robison of his being hired as manager of the properties. “We hoped that it would be a good fit for us and it has been. We have learned so much while managing these facilities.”

“Also, to be able to work from home has allowed my family the freedom to assist others when they need our help,” added Robison.
