Mesa View Medical Signs Six New Providers

Mesa View Hospital in Mesquite has brought six new primary care providers to the area. All of these providers are, or soon will be, seeing patients at the Mesa View Medical Group practice.

Ann Doty a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), brings more than 12 years’ experience with hands-on critical and acute care in a variety of clinical settings. She recently relocated to Logandale where her father was raised.

“I am excited to be coming home to provide medical care for patients of all ages in the Virgin and Moapa valleys,” Ann said. “Since my father grew up in this area we’ve always referred to it as home-base and I look forward being involved in our communities.”

Dr. Eri Gibb, DO, is Board Certified in Family Medicine and is seeing patients of all ages at Mesa View Medical Group in Mesquite. “My passion is providing patient-centered care to those in every stage of life and I really like the Mesquite community and surrounding areas,” said Gibb.

Janel Hillstrom, FNP is seeing patients at the Quick Care walk-in clinic in Mesquite and by appointment at Mesa View Medical Group. She comes to Mesquite from Las Vegas where she worked in an urgent/primary care clinic caring for patients including Clark County Firefighters and their families.

Rodney Briggs, a Logandale resident, is a Certified Physician Assistant with experience in emergency medicine and intensive care environments. He is now working with Andy Rose, PA-C, seeing patients at the Quick Care walk-in clinic in Logandale.
“I look forward to providing medical care to patients in the Moapa, Logandale and Mesquite areas for many years to come,” Briggs said.

While these four are already practicing in the northeast Clark County communities, there are two more providers on their way to the area. They will be seeing patients in Mesquite within the next few months.
Kurt (Colt) Sawyer, FNP, is no stranger to Mesquite. Having grown up here, he and his family enjoy living in the smaller community environment. Colt is dedicated to providing quality medical care to patients of all ages. Currently serving as the Clinical Program Director for the hospital’s Wound Care and Hyperbaric Center, Colt will begin seeing patients of all ages at Mesquite’s Mesa View Medical Group in December.

April Peterson, FNP, brings a broad range of experience in patient care including the emergency medicine and ICU environments. She is currently Assistant Professor of Nursing at Dixie State College in St. George. She comes to Mesquite from her clinical position at Cedar City Hospital where she has been working in the Intensive Care and Emergency Departments. As a Nurse Practitioner in Family Medicine, she will see patients of all ages at Mesa View Medical Group in Mesquite. She is expected to be here early in 2019, at around mid-February.

“We are so pleased to welcome these providers to the medical community in Mesquite” said Ned Hill, CEO for Mesa View Regional Hospital. “Patients of all ages in our communities will have enhanced access to primary care in the coming months as we continue our efforts to recruit additional primary care providers for patients in the Virgin and Moapa Valley areas.”
