An assortment of holiday-themed items is now available at Xtreme Stitch and Print in Overton.

Xtreme Stitch and Print, on Overton’s main street is a great place to shop locally for holiday needs. Owned by friendly shopkeepers Gary and Vanette Christensen, the story provides not only custom screen printing and embroidery, but they also have ready-made product on display in their showroom.

Available at this time are tshirts, hoodies and other clothing for all ages in a variety of colors, each of which can be custom embroidered in patterns of your choice.

The shop also offers some special Christmas items that are in stock and on hand. There will both kitchen and hand towels, as well as customizable Christmas ornaments, aprons, caps and bags. And keep in mind, the shop staff can even customize your Christmas stockings with beautiful embroidery.

The Christensens said that they are always excited to create items that are especially meaningful to their customers. “To take an image or a memory and translate it into stitches brings such joy,” Vannette Christensen said. “That never gets old.”

The Christensens have a deep-rooted love for the Moapa Valley community. When there is a need, they do their best to help. “When your blessed it gives you opportunities to bless others,” said Vanette. “That is a big deal to me. You can’t give without receiving blessings in return.”

When the Christensen’s purchased the business, previous owners Vernon and Tim Lytle wanted to make sure that the business would stay in Overton. It was also important to them that the people running it would have the same love and commitment to the community that they felt. The Christensens fit the bill
“We love this community, it’s home!” Vanette said.

The Christensens moved to the Valley in 2001. After commuting for 17 years, Gary wanted to find something to keep him busy and not have the drive anymore. So they purchased the business.

One thing that was made apparent: Xtreme Stitch and Print is a strong supporter of other local businesses. “We work and partner with other local businesses. It is beneficial to support and help others,” said Vanette.
