Parade Of Homes On Friday

The first ever Moapa Valley Parade of Homes is slated to take place on Friday, December 7. This new holiday event, being organized by the Old Logandale School Heritage and Cultural Society (OLSHACS), will include around a half dozen homes decorated inside and out for attendees to enjoy. Each home will be open to those who have a Parade of Homes ticket.

Tickets can be purchased at the Old Logandale School Monday through Friday this week from 9 am to 1pm. They are also available on the day of the event for just $10.

“I’m excited to go around and see different homes, get decorating ideas and see the many talented people we have in the Valley,” said OLSHACS Board member Robin Maughan.

On the evening of December 7 at 5PM, ticket holders can come to the Old Logandale School and pick up a map which will direct them to the several participating homes. Participants then begin touring the holiday inspired creations from 6-8 PM in any order they choose.

Participants must show ticket at each home in order to be admitted as part of the tour. After the tour participants can return to the Old Logandale School where they can present their tickets and be entered into a drawing for a holiday surprise.

“We’d like to see this turned into an annual event with many homes participating, said Maughan. “There are so many different homes and creative decorating done by very talented people, it would be fun to see several people open their homes and share their ideas.”

Maughan made a special request to those driving around enjoying the event that they pay special attention to pedestrians and be respectful of people, neighborhoods and personal property.
