The Moapa Valley Revitalization Project (MVRP) will host a free Community Resources Fair on Feb. 23 at the Fine Arts Building at the Clark County Fairgrounds in Logandale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The fair will provide attendees with valuable information about low or no cost services available to Moapa Valley residents. Offered resources are provided by federal, state and local agencies, non-profit and service organizations as well as hospice care, medical care, prescriptions, Medicare copay help, utility bills, free tax preparation and more. Additional details will be available at the fair.
Limited transportation to and from the fair will be available if needed, but must be arranged in advance by calling (702) 397-HELP (4357). Spanish translators will also be available to assist as needed.
A light lunch of hot dogs, chips and drinks will be available courtesy of generous fair sponsors.
Sponsoring businesses will be providing fair attendees with a free tote bag to hold brochures, business cards and flyers. These reusable and waterproof bags come in “Pirate blue” with gold lettering.
Local volunteers are needed to help fair organizers prepare for this first annual event. To volunteer, please visit www.justserve.org and look for the many “Community Resources Fair” projects. Click on LEARN MORE and answer a few questions. Then click on volunteer. Organizations, adult and youth groups are welcome and would be very helpful.
