New Class Offerings At CSN

The College of Southern Nevada-Mesquite Center will be offering an Algebra Refresher course scheduled to begin February 13 and run through April 3. The class will be on Wednesday’s from 4:00-8:00pm. The cost of the course is $100.

The course offers a unique opportunity to save money and time while completing the Math requirements for a major. Algebra Refresher is a learning and mastery-based course designed to prepare students, who have not met the criteria to be placed into Math 95 or higher, with the necessary skills to be successful in entry level mathematics courses. The course will be an 8-week class where students will work through an individualized work path comprised of homework problems and knowledge checks.

CSN Mesquite is also offering a special course called Novel & Memoir Writing. This course will concentrate specifically on the creation of a novel or memoir. Over six weeks students will be on the path to becoming the writer they’ve always wanted to be, whether that involves getting published, ghost writing, or just for fun.

Writers of all levels are welcome. The class meets once a week for two hours, instructed by award winning published author, Brian D. Cornett. The class meets Tuesdays 1:00-3:00pm beginning February 26 through April 2 and costs $40.
