The eighth annual Mesquite Balloon Festival kicks off today at the Casablanca resort in Mesquite. This family-friendly weekend of events, which runs from Friday, Jan. 25 through Sunday, Jan. 27, begins each morning at 7:30 a.m. with balloon launches from the Oasis parking lot and will conclude with night glows at 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday evening.
“The Mesquite Balloon Festival is one of the most memorable events in Mesquite each year,” said Christian Adderson, corporate sales manager for Mesquite Gaming. “This year is set to be the largest event yet and is sure to put a smile on everyone’s faces as they see the balloons flying through Mesquite.”
The Mesquite Balloon Festival is free and open to the public. For more information and a full schedule of events, please visit casablancaresort.com.

Balloon flights have been on my to-do list since ages, but I have never gotten a chance to be on a balloon flight ever. I’ll make sure to become a part of this event and fulfill my craze for it.
