New Agent Joins Local Real Estate Team

By VERNON ROBISON

Moapa Valley Progress

Kendall Frost is the newest real estate broker/agent to join Clea’s Moapa Valley Realty in Overton.

Clea’s Moapa Valley Realty in Overton has welcomed a new broker/agent to its lineup of real estate professionals. Kendall Frost has joined the team and is eager to serve the Moapa Valley community.

Frost recently moved back to southern Nevada from Hawaii where he and his family had lived for eleven years. He and his wife bought a home in Overton nearly two months ago.

But this isn’t the first time they have lived in southern Nevada. Many years ago, the couple resided in the rural town of Sandy Valley, NV where Frost served many years as a resident officer for Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

Before that time, Frost attended Brigham Young University in Provo where he graduated with a Masters degree in International Management. He also served a mission for his Church in Hong Kong.

While living in Kona, Hawaii, Frost served as a Police Officer Supervisor at the Kona Internation Airport and as an Operations Manager for a security company.

Frost and his wife have eight children and six grandchildren. Many of their children left the island and they became adults and returned to the Las Vegas area. So Frost and his wife had kept strong ties in southern Nevada.

But it was the volcanic activity in the past few years that triggered their return to the mainland. While the Frost’s home in Kona was not in any danger from the volcano, their neighborhood was in the path of the smoke and ash which issued from it. Frost said that the poor air quality caused havoc to his wife, who suffers from asthma.

Finally, she decided to take an extended trip to visit the kids and grandkids living in Las Vegas. She hoped there she would be able to find some relief, Frost said.
“Eventually, her health had improved so much, she just told me that she was not going to come back,” Frost said with a laugh. “Most of our family had moved back to southern Nevada so we decided to sell the house down there and return.”

With that change came a shift in Frost’s employment.
“After working in law enforcement for 27 years, I decided to make a complete career change,” Frost said. “I decided I could be successful at, and enjoy, working in real estate.”

Frost said that he was attracted to real estate because it didn’t require a regular 9 to 5 schedule and he wouldn’t have to wear a suit or other uniform every day.
“I have acquired a lot of Aloha shirts during those years in Hawaii, and I still have them,” Frost laughed. “So I decided to make that my trademark wardrobe item as a realtor.”

Frost didn’t waste any time jumping into the real estate field. Within the last couple of months, Frost completed the required schooling and passed the necessary exams to become a licensed real estate broker/salesperson in Nevada.

Frost said that he places a high priority on offering excellent service to his customers.
“My focus as a realtor will be attention to customer service,” he said. “I believe that the client is #1 and should be treated with respect and consideration. I believe that communication is vital in any agent/client relationship.”

Frost added that he is pleased to be joining the very successful team at Clea’s Moapa Valley Real Estate.
“I am looking forward to workig with the wonderful people in Moapa Valley and the great team of professionals at Clea’s Moapa Valley Real Estate,” he said.

Frost can be reached by phone at 808-854-9812 or by email at kendallwfrost@gmail.com.
