The Moapa Valley Chamber of Commerce will once again be sponsoring the popular community-wide yard sale on March 12-13.
Anyone wishing to be a part of the event and sell their wares can have their information put on the yard sale map which will be printed in The Progress in the March 10 edition.
To register your address and information, simply go to the Chamber website at www.moapavalleychamber.com and fill out the form. There is a fee of $15. The deadline to be on the printed map will be Wednesday, March 3.
Participants may also contact any one of the Chamber board members for assistance: Pam Duvall at Washington Federal, Candy Stevens at Number Crunchers, Amy Johnson at MVT, Kasen Kolhoss of Clea’s Moapa Valley Realty, or Vanette Christensen of Xtreme Stitch.
Chamber President Pam Duvall said that a few other community events are also being planned to coincide with the yard sale.
“We thought with the Rotary Club not having their big sale this year at Lin’s, that we wanted to add a couple of things that the whole family can attend together,” Duvall said.
On Friday evening, March 12, the community is invited to a drive-in style movie at the Fairgrounds beginning at 6 pm. Bring snacks, dinner, chairs, etc. and enjoy the evening. Duvall did state she will be contacting local food trucks to invite them, so it is possible to buy dinner at that time.
On Saturday, Mar. 13 at 3 pm, ‘Music in the Park’ will begin, also at the Fairgrounds. The plan is to have music and talent with dance groups, musicians, etc. for all to enjoy.
