M.V. Days Activities To Be Held This Weekend

The Moapa Valley Chamber of Commerce is hosting its annual Moapa Valley Days activities this weekend, Mar. 12-13.

First off, the Valley-wide Yard Sale will be taking place, as its usual integral part of Moapa Valley Days.

The MV Rotary Club will not be holding its usual sale in the Lin’s Marketplace parking lot in downtown Overton. But there are many other sales going on throughout the community. A map guide to these various yard sales is printed on page 3A of this edition.

The chamber is also inviting the community to a Drive-in Movie in the Park on Friday, Mar. 12 begainning at 6:30 pm. It will be held at the Logandale Sports Complex on Frehner Ave. across from the Fairgrounds.

A big screen will be set up along the fenceline of the ballfields and cars can line up facing it in the parking lot. Those attending the drive-in can listen to the audio from their own car radios.

Later in the day on Saturday the Chamber will offer Music/Talent in the Park. This will be held at the fairgrounds beginning at 3 pm. Community members can come and enjoy live music and dancing from local musicians and dance teams. Be sure to bring a lawn chair for this event.

The Lost City Museum will be having a drop-in crafts event on Saturday also. This will run from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm at the museum located at 721 S. Moapa Valley Blvd. Attendees will be able to create a cornhusk doll craft at this event. The craft is free with admission which is $5 for adults, free for children.
