Alan Winn Potter
Alan Winn Potter moved on to his next adventure on April 11, 2021 in Bountiful, UT, after a long fought battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 70 years young. He was born in St. George, UT on January 5, 1951 to Dellon Gardner Potter and Magda Jean Winn. He was the youngest of 7 children.
Alan was raised in Henderson, NV. He loved rock music, motorcycles and cars. His favorite places to be were either at a concert or the drag races.
He spent much of his adulthood in Overton, NV. While a member of the Overton 3rd Ward, he met his beloved wife, Ellen at a ward party at Warm Springs. They were sealed together for time and all eternity in the Las Vegas Nevada Temple on April 27, 1991.
Alan was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He had an unwavering testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ and a deep love for the Savior. Most recently he served as a church missionary teaching addiction recovery program classes at the Lincoln County Jail in Kemmerer, WY.
Alan is survived by his wife, Ellen; children: Leddie, Jesse, Magda LeAnna and Megan (J.D.) Belcher; grandchildren: Riley, Shaynia, Mikale, Alan and Bradley; sister Mary Jean; brothers: Leon and Delwin (Linda); and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Magda and Dellon; his brother, James and his sisters: Patsy and LaVern.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 17, 2021 in Bountiful, UT.
