LETTER: Not happy about new basketball courts closed

I am not happy to have this brand new tennis and pickle ball court in Overton Park locked up and not be allowed to use it. Kids are sneaking in over the fence to go play basketball on the new court. Is that what we’re going to do: to turn people into outlaws in order to use a facility that should be open to us.?

If the construction company did the job wrong, that’s fine. But that doesn’t mean we can’t use the courts while the blame is being settled.

At least before we could go ahead and use things, even though they were in bad repair. Now what is it gonna be, 56 years waiting for this court case to get through? And they’re gonna lock us out the whole time. It is ridiculous and it makes no sense. For us taxpayers and residents it’s not fair.
