May The Fourth (Force) Be With You!

The City of Mesquite Department of Athletics and Leisure Services will be celebrating Star Wars Day on May 4.

This date has been observed through media and grassroots celebrations due to the pun on the catchphrase “May the Force be with you” changed to “May the Fourth be with you”. Many Star Wars fans across the world have chosen to celebrate this as an annual celebration of all thing Star Wars.

Star Wars has inspired generations of fans. Whether you break out your action figures, work on your screen-accurate cosplay, or simply spend some time reflecting on what Star Wars means to you, Star Wars Day is about celebrating the people who love the saga.

We are celebrating the day for each community member or visitor to our City on the edge of the outer rim. Anyone who comes into the Rec Center facility and says a quote from a Star Wars movie will get in the facility for free on May 4th.

If you come dressed as a Star Wars Character or with some Star Wars swag on you, you will be entered into a Raffle win a number of Star Wars prizes and more.
