The Beaver Dam Lodge was taken over by the un-dead on Friday night and Saturday, May 14-15. They all came to a Ghoulical Vampire Ball event and to help the non-profit group, Raising Awareness

Involvement Support and Engagement – better known as “R.A.I.S.E Mesquite” – in fulfilling its purpose.
The $400 raised from the Dinner Show will be donated to the Virgin Valley High School dance team.

Those who attended the Mystery Dinner received more than their money’s worth in side-splitting laughter. This was confirmed by attendee Dr Vern Kilbourn, Chiropractic Physician. “This was a lot of fun and just what people need,” Kilbourn said. “We live in a debilitating world.”

The attendees had a whole creative cast of characters to thank for this stress-relieving, fun evening. Teri Nehrenz and Jeff Dorsen played lead parts in the antics. Nita Hardy was the clever script writer.

The action took place before and between the three meal courses. Impromptu parts were acted by members of the audience that were handed short scripts to read soon after they arrived.

No matter how the parts were portrayed the two Virgin Valley Theater Group pros kept things moving. It was apparent that everyone was having a good time. And with no masks required, attendees could see the smiles and hear the laughter even better.

People were good sports about participating. All did their best to draw a laugh.
“I thought it went well and was fun,” said attendee Denise Ahens. “I would participate again in another show.”

Nehrenz played three different parts including Lady Dahlia, Grimfield and Vlad. She is definitely a gifted actress and her portrayal of the Grimfield will not soon be forgotten.

Dorsen played Vampire, Count Nick and Lady Vamp Trampolinia with equal zest.
“There is nothing better in this world than making people laugh and I love doing that.” said Nehrenz.
Music for the show was provided by Blair Adams on the keyboard. Beaver Dam lodge catered the Spaghetti Dinner and allowed all the creepy set decorations.

Script writer, Nita Hardy is a veteran actress and writer from Atlanta, Georgia.
