The Progress
Pastor Bob Sappington of Graceway Church is announcing an invitation to the public to join them for a special service entitled “Celebrate Jesus with Us” on Sunday July 25 beginning at 9:00 a.m.
This special service will feature two excellent musicians: Brian Wursten and Darlene Omaye, celebrating with song.
Omaye is an accomplished violinist and vocalist living in Buena Park, California. She runs a Christian play school for pre-school age children. Omaye’s parents live in Mesquite and attend Graceway Church.
Wursten is well known in the community as a members of the Mesquite City Council. A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Wursten often lends his beautiful voice to the city’s patriotic events. He has also performed at various religious functions of all denominations. Wursten attended college on a performing arts scholarship.
This service is being held because Sappington wanted to introduce the Graceway Church’s new location to the community. Graceway is now located at 350 Falcon Ridge Parkway, Suite 304. They moved to this location about three months ago.
Graceway is an independent Bible Church, no longer connected to the Alliance. It supports missionaries and an outreach ministry to Remember Nhu, an organization seeking to end child sex trafficking through prevention.
Sappington and his wife Denny came to Mesquite in 2019 from Seattle, Washington. He has been serving in a Christian ministry for the past 23 years.
“We want to be a friendly place of new beginnings for people,” Sappington said of Graceway. “We are a healing place in a hurting world.”
The space at 350 Falcon Ridge Parkway #304 has been gracefully revamped into a house of worship. Sappington and his wife Denny are hoping to fill the church for this Special Celebration Service.
