Mesquite City Councilwoman Sandra Ramaker, along with the Mesquite Department of Athletics and Leisure Services, is hosting a few site locations where area residents may donate to help the youth and teachers of the valley with the National School Supply Month Drive for July.
After a year like no other, teachers and students nationwide are gearing up for a busier school year than ever. “We are extremely excited for the school year,” Ramaker said. “We need to help supply teachers with all they need to plan for a successful academic year!
For those individuals passionate about supporting teachers and students in local schools, this is an opportunity to donate supplies for teachers to help them with the children.
“Coming off of a school year that presented an array of challenges, this is an opportunity for individuals and the wonderful community we live in to come together to support the cause: ensuring all teachers and students have the supplies they need to learn,” Ramaker added.
“We’re honored to partner with National School Supply Month on this important initiative,” said Nicholas Montoya, Athletics & Leisure Services Director for the City of Mesquite. “As students return to the classroom for the upcoming year, it’s imperative that teachers and the students have the supplies they need to learn and be successful.”
LOCATIONS OF DONATION BINS will be in the Lobby at:
- Mesquite Recreation Center, 100 West Old Mill Road. 5:00AM – 8:00pm, Mon – Fri
- Mesquite City Hall, 10 East Mesquite Blvd. 7:30AM – 5:00PM, Mon – Thurs
- Clark County Library, 121 W 1st N Street. 10:00AM – 6:00PM, Mon – Sat
- Hole Foods Bakery, 12 W. Mesquite Blvd, 6:00AM – 3:00PM, Mon – Fri & Sat 6am – 12pm.
