Rotary’s Mudd Volleyball coming on Sept. 18

It is not too late to join in the fun and get your hands (and a whole lot more) dirty in raising funds for the Rotary Clubs of Mesquite.

The annual Mudd Volleyball Rotary Fundraiser will take place on Saturday, September 18 from 9 am – 2 pm. This popular fundraiser, hosted by Eureka Resort, provides muddy family fun for all.

Annual team competitors are the Mesquite Police Department, Mesquite Firefighters and a number of local business teams. Even the ladies from Fringe Salon will be getting mud in their hair for this event.

There is still plenty of time to register. Teams of six can register on the day of the event between 8-9AM. Admission is $210 per team to get down and dirty in the mud pit.

Spectators are welcome to come watch the games, free of charge. It is recommended to bring chairs, towels and shade if desired.

The Firefighter Association will be cooking hamburgers and hotdogs. Root beer floats will be available courtesy of the Special Olympics. There will also be a bubble machine for kids and music will be provided by DJ #Juan. Refreshment donations are accepted.

The Rotary Club is a non-profit organization. Funds raised from this event support local youth with scholarships, leadership camps and high school level Interact Clubs. They also support the work of other non-profit community organizations such as the Special Olympics, Virgin Valley Food Bank, Salvation Army and Mesquite Reads.

“This year’s event will be bigger and better than ever!” said Rotary Club President Linda Gault.

The mud pits are located to the back side of the Hotel, driving in from Mesa Blvd.
