The Progress
The Mesquite Showgirls Community Treasurers and Tunes Event will take place on Saturday September 11, at the Mesquite Recreation Center upper parking lot from 9am-2pm.
Along with the Showgirls Rummage sale there will also be ten other non-profit organizations holding their own sales at the same event.
A number of vendors will also be on site. Smoke N Grill food truck will be there with their tempting aromas, The mobile snow cone cart will help attendees to cool off. And three different live bands will provide entertainment including Off the Rail from 9:30 to 10:30, Quintessential Woodwind Quintet from 10:30 to 11:30 and Mike Rye from 12:00 to end of event.
This is the main fundraiser for the Mesquite Showgirls. They have had to cancel their popular Dinner Dance Fundraiser, Denims & Diamonds for the past two years due to COVID.
The funds raised will help pay rent for their dressing room and storage space at the Jimmie Hughes campus.
The Showgirls provide colorful help to local non-profits and Chamber of Commerce members as greeters and whatever other help is needed. Since their origins in 2011 the group has helped with over 500 non-profit events.
