Love Family To Put On “Family Reunion” Event

The Love Family (LF) organization is hosting a “Family Reunion” event on Saturday, Sept. 25 from 11:00am – 3:00pm at Thomas Leavitt Memorial Park, located at 200 Virgin St. in Bunkerville.

This free event will include food sold by Smoke N’ Grind, musical entertainment by Gayle Louise, inflatable bounce houses, and a number of Family Reunion-style games for kids and adults to enjoy. All of the Virgin Valley community is invited.

In addition to this event, LF is also hosting an ongoing school supply drive competition benefitting the three elementary schools in the community: Beaver Dam Elementary, VVES and JL Bowler. Winners of this competition will be announced at the Family Reunion event on September 25 where they’ll have a chance to “Pie” their elected representative in the face!

Following the Family Reunion event, Mad Mike’s will be hosting an after party from 5:30-9:30 pm. By bringing in any two school supplies, patrons will receive 10% off their bar or restaurant tab.

“Our local businesses wasted no time when presented with the opportunity to give back; we’ve seen true support from the community,” said Dana Long of LF. “Realty One Group, Love Family’s corporate sponsor, joined forces with a faculty member from Beaver Dam High School, and placed bins at multiple locations in an effort to gain as many supplies as possible!”

“Local businesses have really stepped up to assist with our School Supply Drive,” added Aloree Smith, also of the LF organization. “Mad Mike’s is absolutely awesome and we are so grateful for the support and love they’ve shown.”

Love Family is a newly founded non-profit organization which strives to bring greater unity in the community in supporting the LGBTQ community.
