R.A.I.S.E. To Hold Its 2nd Annual Parade On Oct. 21

Zombie firefighters give out candy along the parade route at last year’s RAISE Mesquite fundraiser parade.

The R.A.I.S.E. Mesquite organization will be hosting its second annual Halloween parade on Thursday, Oct. 21 beginning at 6 pm.

The staging area for the parade will be located at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints parking lot on S. Arrowhead.

The parade will begin there and then proceed down Mesquite Boulevard toward City Hall ending at Yucca St.

Spectators are invited to bring a chair and hydration if they need it.

Those interested in participating in the Parade may email raisemesquitenv@gmail.com for information. All entries must have their paperwork in by October 16th.

There is no theme this year. Entrants may just make their entries fun and lighted if possible. The float for R.A.I.S.E. float will have a “Nightmare Before Christmas” theme.

R.A.I.S.E. stands for Raising Awareness, Interest, Support and Engagement. We are a 501(c)(3) in the State of Nevada. All monies raised by our organization are put back into the community. Organization officers include Carly Toutant, President; Beth Ann Caplinger, Vice President; Angela Poole, Treasurer; Sheila Gustaveson, Secretary and Sandra Ramaker, Board Member.

Kids can dress in costume for fun. RAISE is currently collecting candy donations that will be handed out along the parade route.
