Community Resource Fair To Be Held Saturday

The Moapa Valley Revitalization Project (MVRP) is bringing back the Community Resource Fair after a two-year break during the pandemic. The event will be held on Saturday, November 13 an the Clark County Fairgrounds in Logandale. It will begin at 9:00 a.m. and run through 1:00 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public.

The purpose of the Community Resources Fair is to bring federal, state, county, and local agencies, and organizations to Moapa Valley to inform attendees of the many services available to them and their families. Many of these services are free to the recipients.

Attending will be: The American Red Cross, CARE Coalition, Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health, Help of Southern Nevada, Helping Hands of Vegas Valley, Moapa Valley Family Resource Center, Moapa Valley Rotary, Nevada Health Link, Silver State Fair Housing Council, State of Nevada Division of Welfare and Supportive Services, The Compassionate Friends, Nevada MAP – Medicare Assistance Program, Nevada Department of Veterans Services, The Empowerment Centre, Three Square Food Bank, and Turning Point Nevada.

These and other organizations and agencies will be at the Resources Fair to meet with you and your family to explain their services.

A great contact, right here in this valley, is the Moapa Valley Family Resource Center (MVFRC) commonly known as Cappalappa. MVFRC has the only ongoing food pantry available every time their doors are open. They are located at 189 North Moapa Valley Blvd. in Overton, and can be contacted at 702-397-6400.

These times of pandemic, transportation issues, work stoppages, shortages of goods and supplies, bring hardships to many valley families. Needed services, by your family, will be presented at the MV Community Resources Fair. Come see for yourself and tell your friends and neighbors to plan on attending this Saturday.
