Elayne Whipple Goddard

Elayne Whipple Goddard, 87, passed away Friday, November 5, 2021 in Las Vegas. She was born in her grandparents home on August 16, 1934 in St. George, UT to Wilford and Emma Whipple.

Elayne grew up in Logandale on the Whipple family farm. She loved dancing, especially ballet, and was a majorette at Moapa Valley High School. She loved fancy beautiful clothes and looking at movie stars in magazines. She also loved animals, music and serving in her church.

She designed a house at 16 years old by cutting out photos from magazines and said she would marry the man who built her that house. She married a carpenter, Jerry Goddard, who did indeed build her that house; they were married 67 years at the time of her passing.

Survivors include her devoted, loving husband Jerry Goddard; children: daughter Lorie (Paul) Davis and Jerry (Cindy) Goddard; nine grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; siblings: George, Emma Lu and Myrna; and family members and friends who love her and will miss her.

She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers: Alma and Arland.

Funderal services will be held Monday, November 22, 2021 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on 2295 N. Walnut Rd., Las Vegas, NV, 89115. Viewing at 10am with funeral to follow.
Burial will be at the Veterans Cemetery in Boulder City on November 23rd at 10:40am.
