The Progress
‘Twas the day before Christmas
When all through the town
The children were antsy
They wouldn’t calm down
They knew through tradition
What happens each year.
Santa was coming!
But without any reindeer?
The sleigh was not red
That held this large fellow
It was powerful and loud
And painted in yellow?
Santa climbed up on board
His big yellow “steed”
With his beautiful bride
Sitting next to his knee
The sirens chimed up,
Letting everyone know–
That Santa was coming!
It was time to go!
They ran to their yards,
To the streets with delight
Santa was coming
With sirens and lights!
His helpers handing out
goodie bags
Each child got their fill
As Santa rode in on his fire truck
Christmas Eve in Bunkerville!
