Moapa Town Board member Blake Stratton, in an initiative he is calling Moapa Valley Solutions, is hosting a Meet the Candidates night featuring the Republican primary election candidates for the Assembly District 19 seat.
These candidates are running to take the seat currently held by Assemblywoman Annie Black who is currently running for Nevada’s U.S. Congressional District 4 seat.
At a local level, next week’s meeting will give attendees an opportunity to communicate concerns to those wishing to serve as the community’s representative in the State Legislature, Stratton said.
“It is my hope that those suggestions will help form legislation and policy in the state,” Stratton said.
“Please come with questions and suggestions so that whoever fills this seat will be aware of our concerns and be a voice for Moapa Valley and District 19.”
The event will be held on Wednesday, May 4 at 6:30 p.m. in the Old Logandale School Auditorium.
