VVES Students To Perform In Frozen Musical

The students of Virgin Valley Elementary School will be performing in a musical production of Disney’s Frozen on May 10,11, and 12 at 6:00 pm. in the multipurpose room of the school.

Tickets for the performance are $5 and can be purchased at the school office or at the door on the evening of the performance.

The play is under the direction of Jenny Good, music teacher; with Mitzi Bender as assistant director and choreographer. Forty kids auditioned in January and practice was held every morning before school starting on February 1.

But the plans for the production has gone on much longer than that. The original performance was delayed by 2 years due to the pandemic. There are twelve students who were third graders when plans begans that are now able to be part of the cast as fifth graders.

The king and queen will be played by Kaleb Cowley and Jasmine Landeros. Anna will be played by Lily Blizzard, Sara Perkins and Hattie Blizzard. Elsa will be played by Savannah Gleave, Dylan Aughney and Kamzlee Dalton. Hans will be played by Oden Meierhoff and Kristoff will be played by Jaden Survis.
Many other students are playing supporting and singing roles, and helping as the stage crew.

VVES art teacher Jenny Hughes and Library Aide Diana Frehner have helped with the art work. Susan Potter and Ashley Ellis made costumes and altered others. Ashley Ellis with her creative skills hand sewed the tear away dress worn by Elsa. Many thanks to Wes and Mekesha Boger who will do the videography.
