OBITUARY: Edwin Randolph Lehman, Jr.

Edwin Randolph Lehman, Jr.

Edwin Randolph Lehman, Jr.

Edwin Lehman, known to friends as “Eddie,” passed away on May 19, 2022 at the age of 76. He started out in South Hill, Virginia & lived there for the first half of his life. Then he moved out west, where he lived in Moapa & Mesquite, Nevada for the rest of his life.

Eddie worked for more than 30 years as a plumber & electrician in Virginia. When he moved to Nevada he worked for more than 35 years at the Virgin River Hotel & Casino in the security department. Eddie was loved by everyone he interacted with. His sense of humor is probably the first thing most people will think of when remembering him, along with his generosity.

He loved his family, friends & pets. He knew how to fix just about anything, especially on a house. Eddie helped build many things, from houses to outdoor wedding venues. He was one of the first people that his friends & neighbors would call on when they needed help with building or setting-up anything.

At work his co-workers knew that he had their backs, was dependable & willing to cover a shift for someone that had a family so they could have the holidays with them.

He could be quite cantankerous. Most of the time to get him to agree to do something, you had to make him feel like it was his idea. He only flew on a plane once. According to him, that was one time too many.

Any trips taken with Eddie were inevitably treacherous. If there was something to go wrong, it would; from taking his freshly washed PT Cruiser through a dirt wash because he missed the END OF ROAD signs to him eating bad food from a roadside gas station leaving everyone else in the car to deal with his lack of intestinal fortitude.

Edwin Randolph Lehman, Jr. is survived by two children: Terry R. (Tina) Lehman and Angela Lehman; one step-daughter, Dorothy Rossiter; three grandchildren: Susan Cullison, Blake (Brianna) Lehman and Jessica (Tyler) Cothran; 4 great grandchildren: Brycen, Bailey, Dustin & Preston.

He was preceeded in death by his wife, Susan Z. Lehman; his sister, Betty (Dickie) Compton and his parents, Edwin R. Lehman, Sr. & Ruby M. (nee Watson).

Family and friends are invited to sign an online guestbook at www.MoapaValleyMortuary.com.
