The Progress
The Rotary Club of Mesquite is inviting local residents to lend a hand in their project to clean up a local highway. On Saturday June 4, the Rotary will hold the second of its four annual, Adopt- A-Highway Clean-up Days.
Club members and any community members that wish to participate can meet at the new OHV Staging area on Riverside Rd. just past the bridge at 6:30 am.
Long handled grabbers and gloves are recommended. By law, these cleanups are only open for adults. No one under the age of eighteen is allowed to participate in these highway clean-ups.
The Rotary Club of Mesquite will provide vests, trash bags and water.
“It shouldn’t take more than two hours,” said Rotary President Linda Gault. “The more people we have helping, the less time it takes to do it.”
The crew will be picking up trash along Riverside Rd just south of the bridge.
