Megaplex Offers Summer Fun At The Movies

Megaplex 6 Theatres in Mesquite is offering a great summer deal for local kids.

Kids movies have returned to the big screen this summer. The Megaplex Theater in Mesquite is offering an inexpensive and relaxing way for kids to spend the hot summer days. It is a cycle of ten movies over the span of ten weeks for only $10.

Each Monday and Friday during the summer, a different family-friendly movie will be screened at the theatre. All features will be rated “G” or “PG.” The screenings will include ten previously released films including “Clifford the Big Red Dog”, “Paw Patrol: The Movie”, “Peter Rabbit 2 The Runaway”, and many more.

Showings began on the week of May 27. But there are still eight movies remaining this summer. The season will conclude on Friday, August 1.

Admission is only $1.50 per ticket at the door. Or, for maximum savings, a Kids Summer Movies Pass can be purchased online or at the theater for $10 per pass. This pass allows entrance to each one of the ten movies, making admission only $1 per movie.

Families with kids of all ages are welcome to purchase the movies pass or to drop in for individual movies. Each showing begins at 10 am.

There is also a sensory-friendly version of each film which starts at 10:30 am on the same days. These showings provide a more welcoming theater atmosphere for kids with special needs. The sound volume is reduced and the lights remain brighter than in the regular theater. Guests are welcome to move around and make noise without fear of disrupting other viewers.

This year, families can also reserve their seats ahead of time using the mobile app, website, or quick-service kiosk at the theater.

Other programs that the theater offers all year round include $5.55 Tuesdays. All movies are only $5.55 for movie-goers. Additionally, Mountain America Credit Union account holders can use their Mountain America debit card on Mondays to receive matinee pricing on admission.
