The community room at the library was filled with balloons for the kickoff party. The lights were left off in the room because it was to be a glow-in-the-dark party. Close to 50 people showed up including some parents and very energetic and excited kids.

The kids could play four games to win a glow-in-the-dark prize. After the games came the dance contest which saw no lack of participation.
