A community-wide fun event is being held this week to help raise money to fight against sex trafficking in the region. The event, which will be held on Saturday, Aug. 20 from 5:30 -8:30 pm at the Clark County Fairgrounds will benefit Operation Underground Railroad, an organization seeking to shine a light on the global issue of sex traffickking and exploitation.
The evening is a family fun night of sorts. There will be water games including slip n slides, water bounce house, dunk tank and more.
Families can enjoy a $5 dinner with hotdogs, grilled up by MV Fire District volunteers, chips and soda. There will also be snowcones and a bake sale.
A silent auction and prize drawings will be held for items generously donated by local businesses.
All proceeds from the event will go to the Operation Underground Railroad.
This event was put together in partnership with Parks & Rec, UNR Extension 4H and local businesses.
