The 2022 Mesquite Health Fair will be held on Friday, September 30 in the Casablanca Event Center from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
The event is coordinated by Mesquite Gaming, owner of Casablanca Resort and Virgin River Hotel. All of the public is invited.
Over 80 vendors and four mobile units will provide professional health screenings, interactive activities, and access to services and resources to encourage people to make positive lifestyle changes.
The health screenings and services offered include a blood drive, mammograms, reproductive health screenings, blood pressure, glucose, blood typing, heart risk assessment, cognitive and memory screenings, mental health, dental, and vision, including the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile® offering dental services to children under the age of 21, and more. In addition, preventative immunizations for the flu, COVID, pneumonia, shingles, and HPV will also be available.
Guests will be able to receive onsite advice on finances, Medicaid, Medicare, weight loss management, healthcare options, senior services, and Veteran’s resources and services.
“Our Annual Health Fair event has been a great success over the years,” said Deisy Duran, Mesquite Gaming Director of Benefits & Workers Compensation.
This year’s Health Fair slogan is “Bigger, Better, Together in Health and Wellness.” The Fair’s objective is to provide the community and Mesquite Gaming employees with onsite health screenings, interactive activities, and access to services and resources that focus on physical, mental, occupational, social, intellectual, and financial health.
“It has been a rewarding experience to see our annual event come full circle,” Duran said. “We hosted our first health fair six years ago with only 20 vendors. This year we have partnered with more than 80 organizations to bring all-encompassing services and resources from various health and wellness specialties.”
The event will also include raffle drawings for all attendees. prizes include a Smart TV, gift baskets, gift cards, gym memberships, spa services, a gun safe, and more.
