“Honky-Tonk Laundry” Opens This Weekend At MCT

Honky-Tonk Laundry is a country western musical which will be opening Friday night October 14 at the Mesquite Community Theater located at 150 N Yucca St.

Joy Craig, is director and actor in the performance about two women connecting at the laundromat over challenges and tribulations with the men in their lives.

Wende Killinger plays the laundromat owner and the two women sing their troubles away.
“Everyone will enjoy the variety of country music and have a good laugh,” Craig said of the upcoming production.

The play was written by playwright Roger Bean. Local resident Mike Johnston created the great set.
A new addition will be the adult beverages, wine and beer, being served by Madd Mikes beforehand and at intermission. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Virgin Valley Community Theater.

The show will run on Friday nights October 14 and 21; and on Saturdays October 15 and 22 at 7 pm. A matinee performance will be held on Sunday Oct. 16 at 2 pm.

This show has had to be postponed a week past its originally planned opening. Those who purchased tickets for the October 7, 8 and 9 performances, will have their money refunded or may choose another performance date to attend.

Ticket may be purchased at the Mesquite Fine Arts Galley or www.vvtgnv.com and one hour before each performance.
