The Progress
The Bulldogs of Virgin Valley High School put their canines and their paws to good use as Respect Week made its rounds at the school last week. Each day consisted of a different way for students to be respectful and make someone’s day a little brighter.
The week started off on a “high” note with “High-Five day.” Students were encouraged to high-five strangers, start conversations, and create new friendships at school. Many students participated in this day and had a blast talking to new people and connecting over even the simplest of high-fives.
On Tuesday, teachers were given the spotlight with “Teacher Appreciation Day.” The students delivered with many thank you’s being given to teachers all over VVHS. During nutrition break students were able to write thank you notes to further appreciate teachers and staff.
On Wednesday the positivity was palpable as compliments rang out throughout the school. The positivity was able to be extended further into social media as the Student Council official Instagram page provided students with a post to compliment and shout out people in the comments.
The students did not disappoint. A flurry of love and appreciation was poured into the post as friends complimented friends and spread compassion and adoration.
Finally, to top off this week of positivity and respect, on Thursday the green Dawgs decked themselves out in blue, the official color for Respect Week. The students were encouraged to be of service and do something nice and sweet for any person of their choosing. It was the perfect closing for an amazing, short, and sweet week.
