LETTER: Mail ballot voting

They mailed out ballots for the last election claiming it was because of COVID. Now, according to Biden, the pandemic is over. Then why did they vote two years ago to make mailing out ballots permanent?

We all were supposed to have received the actual ballots by October 24. That was over 2 weeks before the election. It was more than enough time for everyone to fill out their ballots and mail them in so they would be received on or before November 8 (election day). Then why did they allow ballots to come in 4 days after the election?

It said it must be postmarked by November 8 which simply allows for the votes to be received late. Why not require it to be postmarked by Wednesday, the 2? That allows 10 days to fill out the ballot and enough time for the post office to get it delivered by Election Day. Then we could have all known the results on the night of the election like it used to be.

Everyone knows the voter rolls include thousands of people who should not get a ballot. Why waste postage sending ballots to people who have died or moved out of state.

Many illegals have a chance to register to vote when they get a driver’s license. If they’re on the voter rolls, they will get a ballot.

Everyone wants to have faith that the elections are fair and honest. Why not go back to everyone who can go to the polls to vote and those who have a valid reason they cannot go to the polls, can request a ballot in the mail. This would save us taxpayers millions by not having to pay the postage to mail out a ballot to everyone who is on the voter rolls.

Counting ballots 4 days after the election just gives both parties reason to question why their candidate lost.

There is no valid reason to question why their candidate lost; it’s simple, they got fewer votes. There has never been any proof of large scale voter fraud. Ever. It’s a made up issue by a narcissist who couldn’t handle the fact that he lost the election. Making it easier to vote should be a no brainer. The voter rolls don’t include “thousands of people who should not get a ballot”. Again, this is another myth made up by candidates that lose and try to make excuses for their poor showing.

Our election system is very secure. It has always been very secure, with very few issues of fraud and certainly none that have ever affected the outcome of an election. Again, just BS promoted by the losers.

Fomenting mistrust of our voting system is a horrible thing to do, particularly with zero evidence. Confidence in the fact (and it is a fact) that our elections are fair and secure is incredibly important for a stable democracy,

People that continue to try to convince people otherwise are a huge danger to keeping our country the free democracy we have been for 246 years, please stop spreading these lies.
