The Progress
Local pizza-and-more restaurant Pirate’s Landing had their ovens full and running to serve up hungry crowds on Tuesday, February 14: Valentine’s Day. With a great couple’s special to honor the holiday, the joint was hopping.
Owner Danielle Holliday said that the Logandale restaurant did over twice the amount of sales that night than on a typical Tuesday. Even better, there were no mistakes, complaints or problems that evening.
“While the special advertised was not the biggest sell, we still had a lot of others ordering their usual favorites, sticking to their own personal ‘tried and true to their taste’ menu items,” Holliday said.
This was the eatery’s second Valentine’s special event and it included treats for dine-in customers, which were themed chocolates from Linda’s Sweets provided by Linda Comparoni.
For even more ambiance, live entertainment was provided by Clint Brill, singing and playing on his guitar.
Employee Laurana Bush has been with Pirate’s Landing for a few years now. “I like making all the floats and beverages, and with over 80 drinks to choose from, that can keep us busy,” she commented.
Logandale resident Shauna Adams stopped in to pick up her pizza to go. “I love this place, it’s the best pizza in town,” Adams said. “We come here about once a week and get great every-day specials.”
Holliday expressed how much she enjoys serving the community. “The continued support and love of our pizza, salad bar and other choice menu items from our beloved Moapa Valley community was evident,” she said. “For me it was the best Valentine’s Day possible, as I spent it at my restaurant working.”
Pirate’s Landing is open Monday-Friday, 4-8pm and Saturday, 2pm-8pm. It is located in Logandale at 3113 N. Moapa Valley Blvd. For more information please call 702-398-7511 during business hours.
