Fundraiser To Be Held For Terril Family Of Logandale

By CORINNE MESSER

The Progress

The Mike and Danielle Terril family will be the beneficiary of a community-wide fundraising event to be held March 10-12. All funds will go to help pay expenses related to the treatment of Danielle’s cancer.

The family and friends of the Mike and Danielle Terril family are banding together to host a multi-faceted fundraiser on March 10-12 beginning at 7 am on both days. The event will be held at 1735 Whipple Avenue in Logandale.

This yard sale, bake sale, raffle and silent auction is being held to help pay for expenses surrounding the cancer treatment of Danielle Terril, wife to Mike Terril and mother of 6. Funds raised are intended to offset travel expenses and mounting fees incurred by treatment not covered by the family’s health insurance. All of the proceeds will be given to the Terril family for those purposes.

Danielle was recently diagnosed with a rare form of stage 4 stomach cancer. She is currently receiving chemotherapy at the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, Arizona, and is hopeful that with a few more rounds of treatment, she can undergo a surgery to possibly eradicate the disease. If that doesn’t become an option, doctors at Mayo Clinic assure her there are other possibilities of treatment.

The fundraiser, put together by Terril’s loved ones, offer a number of fun ways to help the family.
The yard sale promises to be huge. It will be a part of the annual Moapa Valley-Wide Yard Sale and it will appear on the official map of the event. Families from all around the community will be donating items that will be for sale in this important fundraiser.

The raffle offers many attractive prizes. Perhaps chief among these is Kimber EVO SP 9mm handgun (the winner must pass a background check and fill out the FFL paperwork). But there are also an array of beautiful handmade quilts made by Sherri McConnell and Bridget Rebman Soel. Another prize is a 3 day/2 night St. George getaway in a beautiful private townhome that sleeps up to 7 in Desert Color.

Raffle tickets may be purchased in advance by using Venmo @hannah-wray-2. Participants can simply list their name, phone number, and the number of tickets they would like to purchase for each item. Tickets cost $10 each.

The silent auction includes several handmade 18” American Girl Doll size clothes, a SIG P239 9mm handgun, a monster size Minky Couture, a personalized laser engraved item of choice, and more items to be announced from local businesses.

There will also be another bake sale fundraiser located at Lins Market parking lot on March 10-11 beginning at 7 am both days.

Cash donations to this cause may also be made at America First Credit Union under the Danielle Terril Charitable Account #9125840. Contributions made to this account will be used for medical costs only.
