Richard Allen Robinson
Richard Allen Robinson, age 66, died Monday, February 20, 2023 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was born June 24, 1956 in Boulder City, Nevada to Richard Arthur and Patricia Jean Torrence Robinson. On February 14, 1974 he married Verna Lynne Robinson in Henderson, Nevada.
Richard lived most of his life in Henderson where he graduated from Basic High School. He was working for Pepcon Chemical when it had the explosion. He then started a 29 year career with Nevada Power / Nevada Energy working in maintenance. He relocated to Moapa, Nevada.
Richard loved his family and the outdoors. He loved to hike, hunt, fish, ride motorcycles, camp and explore the outdoors. He enjoyed time serving as a scout leader and gardening in the yard. He loved family BBQ’s and having family and friends over. Everything was better with family. His sense of humor and kindness will be forever missed.
Survivors include his wife, Verna of Moapa; two daughters: Miranda Robinson of Las Vegas, NV and Jamie Anderson of Moapa; six grandchildren: Keean, Sidnee, Jerzi, Tyelar, Stowick, Lennox; his mother Patricia (Bill) Brock of Henderson; and two sisters: Suzie (Lloyd) Reardon and Shari Orlando both of Henderson. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard; brother, Bobby Joe and his son in law Lance.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, March, 4, 2023 at 12 noon, with a viewing 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Meadow Valley Ward Chapel, 1420 Barlow Ave., Moapa, Nevada 89025.
