We truly love Dr. Moses’ column. But as former proud North Dakotans, we were slightly aghast that, in his March 22 column, he related that President Theodore Roosevelt had ranched in SOUTH Dakota!
Please know “T.R.” owned two ranches at Medora, NORTH Dakota, near the now Theodore Roosevelt National Park.
In later years, T.R. said; “I would never have been President had it not been for my time in (North) Dakota”! He was referencing exactly what you related in your column about the life of a Cowboy!
The official “Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum” will soon break ground in Medora, scheduled to open in 2026.
Medora is the #1 Tourist Destination in North Dakota. I feel certain Dr. Moses would enjoy a visit!
THANK YOU!
